926 J Street is an historic 14-story downtown office building purchased by Rubicon Partners in 2005 and reopened as a 198 room boutique hotel in 2008.  The project renovation demonstrates Rubicon's ability to undertake the most complex of projects.  Redevelopment included a seismic retrofit, remediation of hazardous material, reconstruction of all building systems and common areas, respecting historic building issues, securing a city subsidy and historic tax credits, and accommodating a change of use from office to hotel.

Rubicon Partners was awarded the 2009 Project of the Year by the Sacramento Business Journal for the best rehab / renovation.
